Pricing

Updated August 9, 2012 (still in progress!)

I am currently working on my pricing for different styles of shoes.

**Important information to read first**

First and foremost, the pricing is based on my time and the cost it takes to make a quality shoe.  I DO NOT use cheap plastic crystals, I use only genuine Swarovski Crystals.  I do all of this by hand, placing each crystal individually on the shoe.  This takes time!  And it is only fair that my time is money!

Secondly, I will only bling shoes that you send to me.  There is too much risk to have you unsatisfied with the fit of a shoe you never tried on and wasted time and money on my part.  I want YOU to be happy and have a pair of shoes that you can wear comfortably!

And Thirdly, I highly encourage you to buy/send a pair of shoes that is a good quality!  The last shoe I did (the Volcano) was on a pair of Madden Girl pumps that were a plastic patent leather.  Because the quality of the materials was poor, the assembly of the shoe was poor as well and it makes a difference!  Leather moves and stretches in a predictable and organic way, fake leather does not!!!  It buckles, creases, separates from the shoe foundation, and bulges in ways that are not attractive with rhinestones.  If I don't think your shoe will be a good candidate for strassing, I won't do them.

Styles of crystals:
Standard (S): basic colors, no special treatments (Green shoes)
Aurora Borealis (AB): gives the surface of the crystal a rainbow or oil-slick appearance (Jonquil AB)
Crystal Effects (E): given special treatment to create an iridescent effect or specially coated crystal (Volcano)

Special Requests:
If you have any special requests such as a Bubble Effect, color transitions, or a special pattern, please email me with your ideas and lets get started! :)

If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to ask!  I understand that this price list may be confusing at first, so please email me with your questions.

Types of Strassing:

Refined: I've found that using 5-6 different sizes of crystals gives shoes a much more couture look compared to the basic.  They fill in the space of the shoe better, allow for better balance and array of luminosity.  Often times the different sizes are all slightly different colors (nothing drastic, I promise!) and gives a beautiful dimensionality to the shoe!  (See Volcano shoes compared to Green Shoes)

Basic Refined: Use 3-5 sizes (only small and big, no inbetween sizes) still gives a great sense of depth and attention to detail.  (See Jonquil AB and Sunflower shoes)

Basic: Using one or two larger sizes of crystals is less expensive and does the job of making a fabulous sparkly pair of shoes, but it does not look as refined or detailed as the Refined. (See Green shoes)

If you have any questions, please send me a picture and we can discuss if there will be an additional cost and an estimate.
